James Oakley


The Family
James met and married his wife Liz while they both attended a central London church. They now have two children: Daniel is two, and Joshua was born in January 2007. The family enjoying living in North Staffordshire. As a family, they like going for their holidays to different places in Britain, where they read and go walking together.



Training
James came to St James in July 2005, after 3 years training at Oak Hill College in London. The time at Oak Hill was very useful and enjoyable, giving him the chance to learn lots about what the Bible has to say when considered as a whole. It also gave the opportunity for a number of church based placements, and for James and Liz to make some good friends.



Interests
Before training at Oak Hill, James worked as a computer programmer in the West End of London for 4 years; he still likes tinkering with computers! When James isn't working, he enjoys watching the films of Laurel and Hardy. He is also somewhat enthusiastic about coffee, and has a hobby of pursuing that perfect cup. His real desire is to see people come to know God through his Son Jesus Christ.
